We, at Steps to End Domestic Violence, are committed to reproductive justice, described by SisterSong Collective as “the right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.” Controlling someone’s access to reproductive choices, including birth control and abortion, is in direct opposition to our mission of promoting a culture that fosters justice, equity and safety. We stand firmly against the restriction of reproductive choice and access resulting from the recent overturn of Roe v. Wade by the US Supreme Court.
